Remis Pizzeria and Lounge

A Night at the Lounge: Pizza, Shawarma, and a Place to Settle In

Not every dinner should be eaten standing at the kitchen counter. Sometimes the point is the table, the company, and not being the person who has to jump up and cook. That is what the lounge side of Remis Pizzeria and Lounge is for.

Two ways to eat, one kitchen

We run this place two ways. Order carryout and take dinner home to your own table. Or come in, sit down, and let the kitchen handle everything while you stay put.

The menu does not change between the two. It is the same handmade, freshly baked pizza, the same shawarma, and the same carryout favorites our neighbors already know. What changes is whether you are clearing the table afterwards.

The case for sitting down

Eating in has a few advantages that are easy to forget in a busy week:

  • You eat it at its best. A pizza straight out of the oven is at its peak, and shawarma is at its best hot.
  • Somebody else deals with the dishes. That is worth more than people admit.
  • You actually talk. Sitting across from someone with food between you is still the best way to catch up.
  • Nobody has to leave early. Dinner can take as long as it takes.

Good for the people you eat with

The lounge is a comfortable middle ground between a takeout counter and a full night out. It works for a weeknight dinner with the family, a catch-up with a friend you have been meaning to see, or a low-key meal when you want to get out of the house without making an evening of it.

If your group cannot agree on one thing, this is also where a mixed order makes sense. Pizza for some, shawarma for others, one table, no compromise required.

What made-to-order means at the table

We bake our pizzas by hand when they are ordered, and the rest of the menu follows the same approach. Sitting down to eat means the food reaches you at exactly the moment it should, which is the whole advantage of eating in over eating later.

Part of the neighborhood

We are a Martinsburg pizzeria and lounge, and we are proud to carry forward the Bob's Carry Out legacy here. That means being a place people can come back to again and again, whether they are grabbing dinner on the run or staying for a while.

A good local spot should be able to do both.

Come in and stay a while

Take a look at what we serve, then decide how your evening is going. Carryout is there when the night is busy. The lounge is there when it is not. Either way, come see us at remispizza.com.
